Shaffhausen

Shaffhausen

After packing we started to drive to Switzerland. The route started in sunny Italy, but when we were close to the Swiss border it started to rain, and it did not stop until Schaffhausen. Such a contrast with the sunny weather of yesterday.

The traffic at the Gotthard tunnel was a nightmare, one hour of delay on this rainy day. We had a short drive off highway to look for some restaurant but on Sunday a lof of stores were closed.

TomTom gave us some detour, he apparently knew better than I did but in the end he messed up. We got a nice route though, through the city of Zürich and entering and exiting Germany.

After a fuel stop we arrived at Shaffhausen, a beautiful city. I was happy that I could take my rest, it was a beautiful day but I had enough work done for my age.
