Family Day Aircooled Bergharen

Today we had some touring to the south-east, a small place called Bergharen, there a regional Beetle-club event was organized. Although I am not a beetle I could join because it was an aircooled event. It was a two hour drive on secondary road through the national park The Veluwe, it was familiar road for the most part. It was […]

New Shoes

Today I got my new shoes, you like them? I am over the moon. with them! The wheels where on stock for some time already but the mounting was not just taking old wheels off and put new wheels on. The wheels are from EMPI, the tuning brand I love. It are the EMPI Gasser wheels, reproduction of the Porsche […]

Improvement-day

Today I received a lot of improvements. The most important one was the change of fuel-lines. Remember my heatstroke in Luxemburg and the problems last week? That was probably due to the routing of the fuel-lines. The fuel-lines were resting on the enginecase, so when the engine is heating up also the fuel-lines. I guess you also do not like […]

Birthday party

For THE birthday party we went to a campsite close to family, we also have been here last year. The campsite is located in National Part The Veluwe, an impression is in a video in the text. Before we went I had window problems again and the new parts were not easy to fit so we drove off without proper […]

Avoir un poil dans la main (being lazy)

HEATSTROKE After spending the night indoor, in a room that just fitted my height we had a long drive. We stopped in Luxembourg for fuel and a quick dinner stop. After the stop I started as usual but then I could not keep my engine running. My mechanic was all over the place, calling the Dutch road-side assistance for medical […]

The Achterhoek Experience

This weekend was the first camp-out for me this season, after all the care I have had it was time to proof myself. I felt good also I haven’t been leaking oil anymore, the care worked. The yearly trip of the two friends was planned for this weekend and a farm campsite in the east of The Netherlands was booked. […]

Upgrades, tune-up and ready to camp

Over the last weeks I have been spoiled, not so much driving and receiving all kinds of upgrades. First was new headlights, my original headlights started rusting in the bottom, so not completely watertight. My replacement lights are still old-school H4 lights but the clear glas version with yellow bulb. Despite I am an old girl, I still like to […]

Camp weekend at the Veluwe

It was time for a weekend trip! No big distance again but an easy drive to the east. After picking up our friend we went to Garderen, a small place in the national park the Veluwe. The place is famous for the sand sculptures. We arrived at a farm campsite ‘de boerenzwaluw’, after looking around we decided to stay there. […]

First camp-out of this year

At home first few holiday weeks were quiet, then a lot had happened with a new kid on the block. But finally for me a trip again! The weather forecast is good good opportunity to camp on this extended family trip. It started with the familiar route to the east, after coffee at the family we went to the camping […]

Spa day

After the trip I could take some rest and received a four star spa treatment. I enjoyed a washing from top to bottom in the sunshine. Now my hat is bright white and my body is shiny green again. Ready for more adventures, but this year seems to come to an end with regards to camping.
