New Family Member
After the garage door opened, I had a massive surprise, a new face on the driveway! A bright green air-cooled VW T3 Westfalia campervan, a 41-year young lady with the name Charlie. It seems somebody fell in love or needed another hobby. Anyway I am delighted to have a new sis to share adventures with, probably she has seen a lot of Europe.
Charlie is in good health but need some love and attention. Timmy already gave her a health check and repaired some small items. Small items like a faulty second battery, lighting in dashboard, locking of sliding door. Next steps updating the electrical system and checking the gas system. One bigger task is renewing the heat exchangers and exhaust, the piping is not really connecting anymore.
Charlie will be updated with some modern retro looking tech and then she will be able to blog here by herself, until then I keep everybody updated through my blog about our adventures. Although that would not be very much with the cold weather, I stay inside. Charlie cannot stay inside, she is too tall for the garage and next to that she is much younger so her bones are better resistant to the Dutch winter.
