5 countries in a day
Finally I decided also join the family blog, after 3 days alone in a dark underground parking I need some communication. As you may know I am the workhorse of the family, this time again, 5 countries in a day. In the morning departed from Geneva in Zwitserland. A pity I was parked underground because the small time driving around in Geneva I have seen some exotics. Anyway, today I drove about 1000 kilometer to reach our home. Started with the some good news below:

The 8 kilometers ahead made everybody smile, the next 8 kilometer was about teamwork. Timmy took the control of the steering and shifting, I was allowed to be in sport+ mode, so taking care of the control but allow the sporty movements. Boy we had fun, there was a Mercedes behind doing the same. This 8km was the best of the tour.

After the 8km we reached the top, temperature reduced to 3 degrees and there was even snow at the sides of the road at some places. The signs for wintertires and snow-chains made some sense, good I was still equiped with both. After the top we reached France, downhill were not so much exciting road anymore. After some kilometers we entered the péage, so I could do most of the work again, and the teamwork was more with Flitsmeister from this point.
We took a refuel stop in Luxembourg, that was cheap drinking for me, without loosing the taste. After Luxembourg we entered Belgium, through the Ardennes. A pity there was some distance speed-check in Belgium, there was hardly anybody on the road. Could have made some good time here but apparently that is only for Germany, we did that in the beginning if the week when we drove to Geneva.
The last country was The Netherlands, our home country. That is the slowest of all countries, only 100km/h during day time. It is like driving in slowmotion, it seems everybody is at holiday speed. Not even a challenge for Charlie or Low ’n Slow to get along with the traffic. Anyway the pain was in the last 10% of the distance, highway closed at Utrecht and traffic-jam at Amsterdam. Finally we could reach home, time to rest.
