Vierwaldstättersee

Vierwaldstättersee

Today a relatively small drive of almost 300km. After I got some oil for the usual small consumption, we entered the highway towards the Alps.

There were no trucks on the road so I was one of the slowest on the German Autobahn. I needed some drink so we stopped for the high octane stuff. I got the most expensive drink, 2,62 Euro per liter! But is tastes better and it seems I need less.

We left the highway in a place called Schaffhausen, we took a nice sightseeing along the Rhine. we did not see the waterfalls though, too crowded.

I had a little bit trouble breathing at idling, making the engine stall. Probably because of the altitude, but can also be some allergy, I am not sure. But after adjusting my idling was ok again.

The traffic in Switzerland was much slower, I was not feeling an obstacle anymore, I even had used the left lane! The roads were not too steep and I saw the mountains only close to our arrival place.

This night I have a very nice view over the Vierwaldstättersee, it is sooo beautiful here. Tomorrow we will drive through the Gotthard tunnel, the longest tunnel of Switzerland and then we will arrive in Italy. I look forward to it and also the Italian driving style, I heard a lot about it.
