Family Day Aircooled Bergharen
Today we had some touring to the south-east, a small place called Bergharen, there a regional Beetle-club event was organized. Although I am not a beetle I could join because it was an aircooled event. It was a two hour drive on secondary road through the national park The Veluwe, it was familiar road for the most part. It was a nice cruise in the sunshine.

When we arrived and showed our Beetle membership we received a goody bag and we were directed to a parking on the field next to other vans. Most campers were staying for the weekend, we only for the day. It was nice to be one of the youngest from the group, good for the ego.

It was a day of sharing experiences with the others. Some were very old but looked very jong, what filler and a paint job all can do. Just kidding, all of use were good cared for. It was a mix of beetles, vans and other air-cooled exotics. There was some special interest for my by some T3 Westfalia owners, solutions and equipment was proudly shared and demonstrated. At the end of the day there was the price award ceremony, unfortunately I was not one of the top 10 best of show models. Honestly I have to say the winners were really looking good, and I did not expect to be in the top 10, although I was one of the best looking T3😬

In the afternoon we departed for the cruise home, we took the same secondary road back as it was a bit busy on the highways of returning holiday traffic. No time to share my adventures with the others.
