Improvement-day
Today I received a lot of improvements. The most important one was the change of fuel-lines. Remember my heatstroke in Luxemburg and the problems last week? That was probably due to the routing of the fuel-lines. The fuel-lines were resting on the enginecase, so when the engine is heating up also the fuel-lines. I guess you also do not like hot beer, and if you drink hot beer you also going to do funny things. So now it is routed according as it should be including some red clamps, you gotta love the detail.
As the enginecover was open also the throttle linkage was adjusted, a special kit is available that replaces some parts to reduce the play in the linkage. That made some improvement in drivebility, I am running much smoother now, no jerky ride at constant speed.
Also the window mechanism was replaced, another previous issue of me that I drop the window. With the new mechanism it is all going well, not smooth but well.
Another lifehack was the change of the windscreen washer jets, The original ones have one output, a bit little for my big windscreen, so the new ones have three holes per jet, covering now the whole windscreen. Originally it are SUZUKI parts, so some link there for Timmy.
The last improvement is the opener for the cabinets, originally the cupboards are closed by gravity. Which is not a very good solution if you use it. So with a gasspring the cabinet stays open and stay closed as well, a pretty neat solution.
So after all the improvements we went for a small drive to check everything and everything was ok, there was no fuel leaking, the throttle play was better, the window could be closed after opening, the cabinets did not open and the windshield could be cleaned efficiently. Looking forward to my next trip!
