Birthday party
For THE birthday party we went to a campsite close to family, we also have been here last year. The campsite is located in National Part The Veluwe, an impression is in a video in the text. Before we went I had window problems again and the new parts were not easy to fit so we drove off without proper window operation. The drive was 90 kilometer of secondary road, very known road so a bit boring.
On arrival we were friendly welcomed by the staff of the campsite, small comment in the noise I make. So soon we could continue to our place across the playground of the campsite. The playground was not used so much.
It was a hot day on our arrival so the setup was a sweaty job while I was still cooling down from the drive to here. Also somebody rolled the window down, so I dropped the window again so before setup for camp the door interior had to be stripped and put the window in the guidance. After the setup it was time for a drink and selfie of us for the socials.
The next day I had some rest day, enjoying being admired by the people walking by. I seem to be a unique sight on the campsites. Timmy went off for a hike in the area, you can see his pictures in the video below.
The next day we went for a drive, Timmy’s nephew was treated to drive me. He is a good driver, after a short timer practicing he had a good feeling for throttle and clutch operation.After he drove us to his home it was time to go back to Enkhuizen, but I had some trouble with getting fuel. After some expert view it seemed that the fuel line is resting on the engine block, so after a stop the fuel evaporates and engine stalls. So next to the window repair there is also some need for attention to the fuel lines.
On the way back there was a lot of stress, although there are almost no traffic lights we had to cross the locks at Lelystad. Se we have been driving around slowly but we missed the first opening, the bridges open very frequent. I needed to stay driving as with idling there is less cooling and the fuel would overheat again, making the engine stall. We took a small road, drove there and then slided in the traffic at the front of the queue when the bridge was closed again. At home we did a small idling test and I could run 11 minutes in idling, that needs to be improved.
