Workshop at Cancun Resort

Workshop at Cancun Resort

The beginning of October work took me to Cancun, Mexico. A global homologation workshop. The workshop was 4 days but I had to stay a week because of the holiday flight, it was cheap but above all a direct flight from Amsterdam. The venue for the week was the Breathless Cancun Soul Resourt, an all inclusive resort with 3 pools and many bars and restaurants.

Working in a holiday environment is always a nice combination, skipping the work for a hort time at the pool or at the bar, or having a poolside lunch, it is a great balance.

The view from my temporary office was also not too bad.

Everybody knew something was going on when they entered the elevator. The screens together with the song Titanium of David Guetta.

During dinner a nice surprise when ordering a wine. My favorite wine is from the Nebbiolo grape, until then I thought only from Italy. There seems to grow also Nebbiolo grapes in the North West of Mexico, what a great wine that was.

Presentations had to be prepared and meetings gad to be attended. Unfortunately the timezone is far from usual meeting times so several meetings had to be done after midnight. During the day presentations and discussions…

… followed by dinners and parties in the evening. Very wel organized with excellent food and even a Mariachi band which ga e me a feeling of being in a Tarantino movie…

After the workshop I had some days to spend, partly work and partly tourist. Cancun is very touristic and on the Saturday there were many people from the US spending the weekend.

During the breaks hanging out at one of the three pools of the all inclusive resort.

The last day found the time to leave the hotel area and went for a walk up en down the strip.

Some closed restaurant of Pepes, where you could have dinner with tigers in the restaurant. In the afternoon went for a last swim and start to pack to return back home.
