Bring-your-car-to-work-day
Last Thursday we had a drive to The Hague, we had a big rain shower on the way. It was a little scary for me as my front tires are worn a bit, the inside are like slick tires, somebody needs to check my wheel-alignment I guess. It was quite busy on the roads. Luckily at night I could have a lot of space for myself in the parking, sheltered from the rain.

The next morning it was a cold start, but then a short drive to a wonderful location for a old guy like me. We went to the Louwman National Automobile Museum, and I had a VIP parking in front of the museum. It seemed a kind of retirement home for us cars. Immediately people came out to complement me and to give advise on how to park to look good (I think they wanted to nurse me and keep me in the retirement home)

I was parked in the corner between de entrance and the library. All the people that entered the museum could see me and many stopped for taking a picture with me. It was a day that I felt the king! Later another classic parked in front of me, a red Renault 4.

In the late afternoon we returned home, luckily it did not rain anymore. On our return we had a huge traffic jam on the Amsterdam ring-road. Time for me to see others at a low pace, good for my old bones.
It was a great day on which I could show off. We do need that sometimes…
