Ride-to-work day
It was ride-to-work day so I was lucky to make a big trip to Brussels. We started with the highway but close to the border we exit the highway and took secondary roads in the direction of Brussels. So we had a tour trough some small towns like Strijbeek, Hoogstraten, Zoersel, Lier and Mechelen. From Mechelen we took a small part of highway. On the way we took some lunch around Malle close to Renesse Castle. There were a lot of road construction so the route was not as planned and quite a lot of traffic in Belgium on the secondary roads.
We arrived at the office in the afternoon and in the evening we moved to a hotel for the night. It was a little bit difficult to enter the parking at the hotel, the door did not open for me. With a little help from the reception I could enter the garage and had a good place for the night.
The next day we moved back to The Netherlands, this time only highway. It was a little busy around Antwerp but furthermore we could have some good speed. Hopefully we did not gather too much speeding tickets. We stopped for a break half way. In The Netherlands we had a choice between mosquitos or traffic jam. Luckily it was decided for traffic jam, we could filter through traffic for some kilometers.
It was a nice ride but quite a distance, I could enjoy some twisty roads yesterday and some fast bends on the highway today.
