Getting to know the area
Today I had the opportunity to get to know part of the area on this sunny day. It started with some nice, not too fast, twisty roads. After that it was on small roads towards the south, along many small rivers, windmills and through small historical towns. It is such a beautiful area here.
It was a great ride in which I could make some good revs and get some good speed. I do not have navigation so the tour went just on feeling, old fashioned; following road-signs. Last part was from Hoorn to Enkhuizen along the Zuider Dijk, which is a marvelous route. It is a shame they want to ban the road for us motorcycles, they already did it in the past. I think they better can have me than our youngest brother on four wheels.
We had a good cooperation today. As a carburetor girl I am more sensitive than the injection girls, but it went better today from the low revs. Some shaking at 90km/h but that hopefully will be solved with the new rubber that is coming. I got treated with the latest Bridgestones, I already look forward to that.
Anyway it was a good day today. My younger sister will have a bigger tour tomorrow on bring your motorcycle to work day. I am happy with the short distances for now.
