Serengeti National Park Day 2
We packed everything and we started with a whole day Serengeti game drive, goodbye to the Kon Tiki Serengeti tented camp.
We spend 8 hours on the drive, covering 130 kilometers. We headed in the same direction as yesterday because they expected that there were lions at the died elephant we have seen yesterday.
A small lion that had lunch at the dead elephant.
Elephants that could smell the dead elephant. They wanted to go to the dead elephant but the lions made them decide different.
At the end of the day we arrived at Serengeti Sound of Silence tented camp and witnessed a beautiful sunset.
We were to stay 2 nights at this camp. Also at this camp we were not allowed to leave the tents when it is dark without guidance.
The tent with the restaurant was cosy and nicely decorated. And again we could enjoy delicious food and some nice wine (and beer). After dinner we headed back to the tents for a well deserved night of sleep as the next day would be an early start.
