Travel to Zanzibar
Today we have travelled from Amsterdam to Zanzibar. It took some time to sit together on the plane after the KLM changed seats because of change of plane. It is not the first time KLM made our planned trip worse. With the help of the supportive KLM staff we managed at least to have 2 times two seats next to each other.
When we arrived at Nairobi we had to get our boarding passes. After finding the way we went through security with very helpful people. At the ticket office some trouble again thanks to KLM. The friendly lady of Kenian Airways helped us in Kenian speed, but we had a lot of time anyway.
The connecting flight to Zanzibar was conveniently interrupted for a fuel stop at Dar Es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania. Unfortunately the flight was midnight so nothing to see and too much interruptions to sleep.
At 4:15 we arrived at Zanzibar. After waiting on our suitcases our driver Ibrahim drove us swiftly to the Tembo House hotel in Stonetown. After a quick check in we finally can have a few hours sleep.
